On Tuesday July 27th I will be flying into the San Francisco area to meet with my client and his beloved companion Tracker "poodle". The purpose of the trip is to take measurements and still images of Tracker the poodle for the commissioned bronze sculpture.
To truly capture the likeness of a dog, a sculptor needs good head shots. The higher the resolution of the images, usually results in better detail .
I request front, profile and diagonal views of the head for my reference material. The images of the head area are perhaps most important.
My style of sculpting is realism; therefore, the more detail, the more I enjoy the composition. Bottom line, it results in happier clients.
